I lived in Texas until 1990, and then we moved to Lake Tahoe for 6 years. After that we lived in La Jolla, CA for 12 years, where our children all graduated from high school (except for Brian, who remained in Texas and graduated in Tyler, Texas).
After the kids when off to college, and graduated and started their professional lives, we retired to Gig Harbor, WA, a beautiful little village outside of Seattle. Then we moved to Newport Beach, Ca for about 7 years before following our kids to Austin and settling back here.
We purchased the little town of Albert, Texas about 18 months ago, which is between Fredricksberg and Johnson City. It is the sister city to Luckenbach. Mr. Luckenbach's first name was Albert, and after settling Luckenbach, he and his wife moved a few miles away in the mid-1800's. We purchased the town last year, which has a saloon and one of the oldest dancehalls in Texas. It has been a fun family venture.
But I still love the beach and the great weather in California so we have a summer escape in San Clemente, California. It’s a beautiful little cottage town to get away to!
