One of her best friends in California posted that she died of an apparent heart attack in her home in California on July 1, 2021. We are all so saddened to hear about her passing - she was a bright spirit for our class. One of several very successful entertainers from JJPearce. She was planning to come to our 50th Reunion in September. She touched so many with her characters and voice-overs, she will be sorely missed, but has now reached a happier place nestled in the arms of the Lord. May we all reach that pinnacle and see her once again.
In 7th grade, Lee and I had a school dance date. That was the extent of our dating. Then, in 2014 I get a call out of the blue from Lee. He sounded real good - and said he wanted to get together sometime soon. We shared our memories of that "date" and of our classmates and had a few great laughs! He said he would call again - so I waited for him to call back and months went by, and I was thinking he got busy or something - then since I hadn't heard from him - I decided to call him. His sister answers and that's how I found out he had passed - his sister told me he had been suffering from metastatic melanoma for a while. Apparently, he had reached out thinking about memories from long long ago! I was saddened to hear of his passing, but was glad to have been able to bring back some laughs and memories for him.
